For a long time, the energy transition has been central topic in global policy discussions across world's various systems. The refers to shift from traditional sources (such as oil, coal, and gas) renewable (like solar, wind, hydropower). This process is further supported by existing international agreements. Many countries are developing their own strategies plans meet energy-related objectives. However, differing approaches often lead disagreements, have varying interests regarding resources, security, climate obligations. Global security emerging significant challenge context. Rising demand, geopolitical tensions, market volatility, vulnerability of systems putting immense pressure on stability. Potential risks associated with include an unequal distribution resources technologies between developed nations, which could exacerbate social economic inequalities. Furthermore, rapid without adequate infrastructure may supply instability, higher prices, potential unrest. In addition, technologies-such smart grids digitalization systems-raises new concerns about data protection cybersecurity. While essential for achieving sustainability goals, it presents challenges that require careful management collaboration. Developed must strike balance environmental objectives, interests, while also minimizing come transitioning sources. forms foundation analysis issues addressed this paper.

The purpose of this study is to examine the role structural transformation in energy sector accelerate decarbonization process world’s top five green leaders, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, and Poland. To test empirically, we collected annual data from a panel leaders 2000–2023. A key contribution our lies assessing multiple critical metrics, including CO2 emissions, carbon intensity, intensity electricity, production-based consumption-based capture holistic progress towards neutrality. We applied augmented mean group (AMG) model estimate long-term results. Dumitrescu–Hurlin used causal relationship among modeled variables. findings AMG reveal that renewable production consumption significantly reduce electricity. Conversely, fossil-fuel-derived exacerbates these metrics. However, impact sources varies by country terms their magnitude. outcomes indicate bidirectional causality exists between emissions intensity. unidirectional fossil fuel Our results detrimental impacts continued use conclude decarbonization. Based on results, suggest policy efforts should prioritize reforms emphasizing shift sources. Such are essential for achieving net-zero mitigating broader environmental degradation.

Currently, spatial modeling is of particular relevance as it enables the understanding patterns and variability an event, monitoring prediction behavior a variable, optimization resources, evaluation impacts phenomenon interest. Research carried out recently on variables related to solar energy budgets has been special due its applications developments in machine learning (ML) deep (DL). These algorithms are crucial improve efficiency, precision, applicability remote sensing, allowing greater decision making with more reliable timely data. Thus, this work proposes systematic rigorous methodology for searching research articles about latest advances contributions radiative using novel techniques some most relevant international scientific databases (Scopus, ScienceDirect, ResearchGate). We investigate the dynamic effect of external conflict risk on environmental transition by considering impacts eco-innovation, economic growth, and energy consumption in a panel comprising 26 European countries from 2011 to 2020.Using non-parametric model represented QARDL, we find that short run, 1% increase statistically leads 0.25% 0.13% likelihood for median extreme upper quantiles (50th 95th percentiles), respectively. However, same holds little importance when lower quantile (5th percentile). The indicated substantially decreases long reaching zero across different quantiles. We also note discrepancies impact various levels. For instance, population is significant 5th 90th quintiles.Overall, our findings suggest enhancing eco-innovation helps reduce risk. The results are relevant development policies provide valuable insights officials, technology stakeholders, policymakers their attempts strengthen resilience during an transition.
