Hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) is toxic, carcinogenic, and harmful to biological systems. Common detection methods, such as colorimetry, atomic absorption spectrometry, ion chromatography, systems, can only be used in the laboratory do not provide real-time feedback. To address these limitations, current study cloned ChrB gene, which exhibits high specificity detecting Cr(VI), ChrA Cr(VI) tolerance, into Escherichia coli. This recombinant strain, ChrA–ChrB–E. coli, was integrated a single-chamber microbial fuel cell for accurate continual monitoring over wide range of concentrations. coli thrived temperatures from 25 °C 45 pH levels between 5 8. Its ability reduce remained consistent across forms, carbon sources, oxyanions. Cyclic voltammetry employed verify electrical activity biosensor. The biosensor exhibited limit 0.0075 mg/L. Under conditions simulating regulatory emission 0.5 mg/L industrial wastewater, achieved response time 20 s during operation. When tested with synthetic wastewater containing concentrations 0.02 150 mg/L, system adaptability facilitated stable (relative standard deviation ≤ 2.7%). Additionally, biosensor’s accuracy (−1.73% 2.5%) matched that traditional batch highlighting its suitability aquatic environments.

The present study is focused on the reduction of hexavalent chromium by using isolated bacterium Halomonas maridiana EA1. H. EA1 has shown a >90% 100 ppm day 1 and a>70% 1200 4. ICP-OES analysis revealed that efficiently reduced into trivalent chromium. occurrence chrA gene in EA1, which regulates ChrA (reductase) enzyme, may be associated with TEM images depicted alteration morphology under stress conditions. LCMS result illustrates role metabolites regulating two main pathways: cell wall strengthening biofilm formation, help to maintain integrity. Hence, applications such dynamic bacteria can useful minimize burden soil for sustainability ecosystem.

Hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) is mainly detected as a harmful anion in aquatic ecosystems. In this study, novel nanohybrid layered clay composite decorated with polyaniline (PANI) (PANI/LDH@MMt) was successfully synthesized by layer-by-layer assembly strategy and utilized for Cr(VI) removal. Layered double hydroxide (LDH) montmorillonite (MMt) (LDH@MMt) can facilitate elimination through reinforced reduction. Some key experimental parameters were evaluated detail their potential impact on The results illustrated that PANI/LDH@MMt displayed high removal efficiency (>99%) at most appropriate conditions maintained over 95% performance even ionic coexistence natural water environments. Kinetic models, isothermal thermodynamic analyses also employed to explore the behavior PANI/LDH@MMt. Finally, mechanism analysis suggested could be captured electrostatic interaction of -NH-+, -N=+, –OH2+, exchange LDH, reduced Cr(III) -NH-. Subsequently, chelate -N=, −NH−, −OH, complex OH-, immobilized MMt cation exchange. This study presents new insight into reasonable construction highly efficient adsorbents low cost
