The present study investigated whether shale and natural gas can serve as effective transitional fuels in promoting environmental sustainability. Specifically, the explored role of these energy sources, along with technological progress urbanization, shaping ecological footprint US between 2006 2021. To investigate association factors footprint, we employed Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) estimation. Additional tests, such Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS) Cointegration Regression (CCR), were to confirm robustness ARDL approach.
