Microbial communities in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) play a crucial role the decontamination of polluted water. An uncultured order-level lineage AKYH767 phylum Bacteroidota has been consistently detected microbial consortia activated sludge at WWTPs worldwide, but its functional remains elusive.
