Green innovation serves as a driving force for enterprises to enhance their competitiveness and may offer an effective pathway reducing carbon emissions. This study, using data on green emissions from publicly listed companies between 2000 2022, examines the impact of enterprise its specific transmission channels. The findings reveal that: 1) significantly reduces emissions, this inhibitory effect remains robust across series stability tests. 2) Mechanistically, primarily decreases through improvements in energy efficiency specialization management. 3) Compared application utility model patents, invention patents is more emission reduction found be pronounced non-state-owned compared state-owned enterprises. As global attention to the issue of climate change grows, concepts carbon peaking and neutrality, proposed by China, have increasingly gained traction. In this international context, digital technology green development are closely interwoven, carving out a distinct path for countries worldwide achieve emission reduction goals. This study empirically explores mechanism how transformation impacted emissions Chinese A-share listed manufacturing enterprises from 2007 2021. The results indicate significant inverted U-shaped nonlinear connection between within enterprises. New quality productivity (NQP) has the possibility to enhance carbon emission performance which will fortify groundwork for long-term economic expansion even further. Abstract This study is based on panel data from 30 prefecture-level cities in Northwest China 2011 to 2021, providing an in-depth analysis of the impact digital transformation carbon emissions, with a detailed examination spatial perspective.
