The diverse performance asymmetries and policy efforts toward climate neutrality among EU member states remain underexplored. Addressing this gap, we develop a conceptual framework to analyze the influence of green effectiveness technologies across tiers emissions’ productivity in EU-28 during 2010 2019, pivotal period for efforts. Results from an instrumental panel quantile estimator reveal that national policies have asymmetric impact progress, particularly benefiting low-performing countries. Green fiscal policy, such as energy taxes, is not precondition neutrality. We highlight unexplored role environmental performance, finding effective auditing fostering progress. Eco-innovation clean progress tiers, underscoring need targeted incentives. technology development proves be key contributor tiers. This study advances understanding SDGs 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16.

Abstract Purpose – This study examines the symmetric and asymmetric effects of financial development on CO₂ emissions in Ghana, incorporating roles natural resource rents economic sustainability. Design/Methodology/Approach – Using annual data from 1990 to 2020, employs linear nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL NARDL) models assess long- short-term relationships. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is applied construct an sustainability index. Findings The results confirm a long-run relationship between emissions. Financial contribute increased emissions, whereas reduces NARDL model reveals effects: positive shocks significantly increase while negative have neutral impact. Short-term suggest that also drives growth. Research Implications findings underscore need for policies promote aligned with environmental Policymakers should incentivize green financing, strengthen regulations extraction, integrate into mitigate Originality/Value among first explore impact considering By highlighting effects, research provides new insights policymakers scholars examining consequences sector expansion.

Emerging states’ path to enhancing the welfare of their citizens has been strongly accompanied by environmental degradation; climate change effects often abrogate economic results. This zero-sum game must change, and concerns should be considered when development a country is discussed assessed. In this sense, study’s objective analyze impact complexity renewable energy consumption in presence growth urbanization selected emerging European countries from 1995 2021. We used multiple-methodologic approach highlight supportive mitigating carbon emissions. Furthermore, were emphasized applying cointegration regression (CCR), fully modified OLS, dynamic OLS (FMOLS–DOLS) approaches. Additionally, we Driscoll–Kraay estimation test robustness our The results reveal beneficial role decarbonization process countries. study highlighted detrimental influence growth, which feasible considering status included panel.

The critical issue of environmental degradation emphasises the urgent need for coordinated actions to safeguard and restore planet's fragile ecological balance. This study examines relationship between financial development carbon emissions in Ghana from 1990 2020, focusing on roles natural resource rents economic sustainability. Utilizing time-series data World Bank applying a dynamic autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model kernel-based regularized least squares (KRLS) machine learning technique, findings indicate that significantly increases both short- long-term. At same time, have negligible impact short term but contribute increased long run. Conversely, sustainability consistently reduces long-run. Our highlight policymakers prioritize green financing initiatives, promote products support renewable energy, implement stricter regulations exploitation. Additionally, incentives institutions invest environmentally-sustainable projects are vital achieving Ghana's neutrality goals.

This research explores the least explored domain concerning impact of monetary tactics on carbon dioxide emissions in China, thereby adding depth to environmental economics. The analysis spans 1982–2022 and interplay between instruments, ecological footprint, CO2 emissions, factors like human capital, GDP per capita, remittances, urbanization, fossil fuel dependence. investigation utilizes a multifaceted approach, including wavelet techniques, power spectrum, coherence analysis, quantile quantile, regression. findings unveil critical insights. results demonstrate that policy has had differing effects depending time. Contractionary policies are good for lowering medium- long-term even if they cause short-term increase emissions. Furthermore, study emphasizes beneficial capital development Fossil fuels, capita income, population significantly contribute damage beyond policy. contributes original insights by integrating socio-economic comprehensive, multi-methodological framework, offering valuable guidance crafting balance economic growth with sustainability.
