Lakes on the Tibetan Plateau (TP) serve as both indicators of and safeguards against climate change, playing a crucial role in aquatic ecosystems TP. While considerable attention has been devoted to studying thermal dynamic processes TP lakes, research focusing their ecological variations limited. In this study, we selected Namco, representative lake TP, investigate its water using AQUATOX model. Long-term spanning from 1980 2020 were analyzed based observations. Our results revealed consistent increase nutrients, particularly total nitrogen (WTN), phosphorus (WTP), over study period. Additionally, concentrations chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) gross net primary production (WGPP WNPP) exhibited significant upward trend. Despite persistent state poor nutrition lake, conditions improved. Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that WGPP, WNPP, Chl-a more sensitive local hydrology compared WTN WTP. A continuously warming would heat up body, further enhancing improving quality future. This provides insights for limnological can be used inform management strategies high-altitude alpine regions.

Eutrophication remains a persistent global water quality challenge despite extensive investigations. Numerous reviews highlight multifaceted controversies, and scholars from diverse fields have attempted reconciliation, yet pessimism prevails. The authors perform detailed exploration of the current controversies debates surrounding eutrophication strategies. After leveraging combination historical data review, theoretical insights, advanced modeling, we identify common roots these primarily improper problem framing or boundary setting caused by conceptual weaknesses, methodological omissions residual variability when dealing with complex nexuses, which can lead to multifinality, equifinality, insoluble problems in subsequent research, fostering redundant intense debates. Therefore, more efficient techniques during model construction, fully should be emphasized, balancing realism practicability. Instead seeking panacea for restoration, propose an Improved Analytic Hierarchy Process (IAHP) method Iteratively Evolutionary Modeling Cycle Method, based on newly proposed sets criteria. IAHP combines traditional multivariate statistics, breaking down into hierarchical structure determining factor weights through pairwise comparisons multivariable statistics. Method tackles modeling segregating processes six iterative steps, ensuring expertise-specific problem-solving while communication collaboration across steps. Both approaches emphasize segmented, optimization, avoiding equifinality multifinality problems, reconciling conflicts among dimensions aligning principles Occam's Razor. These methods offer valuable addressing arising multifactorial issues.
