Geopolitical tensions, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict, ongoing Middle-Eastern wars, and post-Cold War dynamics between USA Russia, have contributed to significant global political instability. These risks disrupt economic growth, destabilize energy supply chains, foster uncertainty, often prioritizing security over environmental sustainability. Existing literature inadequately addresses how geopolitical interact with sustainability, particularly within developed economies like Canada. To bridge this gap, study examines role of per capita income on outcomes under Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) framework, explicitly incorporating as a critical determinant. Using Canadian time series data spanning from 1980 2022, research employs autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) estimation technique explore short- long-term cointegrating relationships among key variables, consumption, trade openness, foreign direct investment (FDI), ICT development, financial development. The findings confirm inverted U-shaped EKC hypothesis for Canada, indicating that growth initially exacerbates carbon emissions (CO2) before leading improvements at higher levels. are found positively contribute CO2 emissions, emphasizing their barrier achieving validate robustness, Kernel Regularized Least Squares (KRLS) machine learning approach is employed, confirming consistency results. Additionally, Toda-Yamamoto causality test identifies directional causal variables. Policy recommendations emphasize need Canada implement targeted strategies mitigate impact outcomes. Specifically, advocates for: (1) diversifying sources reduce reliance geopolitically sensitive regions, (2) investing in renewable technologies ensure sustainable (3) enhancing policies prioritize low-carbon technologies.

Despite the growing emphasis on sustainable development, role of green finance in context G7 economies remains largely unexplored. The increasing financial transformation motivates this study to analyze influence natural resources (NARSs), population (POPS), education (EDCT), trade (TRD), and economic growth (ECNG) (GRF) G7. Using panel data from 1996 2021, employs Pooled Mean Group Autoregressive Distributed Lag (PMG-ARDL) methodology investigate both long-run short-run relationships among these variables. To address issue possible heterogeneity, uses Cross-Sectional (CS-ARDL). Before applying PMG-ARDL methodology, conducted a series pretests ensure reliability potential endogeneity issues. These included tests for cross-sectional dependence, slope homogeneity, variance inflation factor (VIF) analysis, Cross-sectionally Augmented Im-Pesaran-Shin (CIPS) unit root testing, Westerlund cointegration test. outcomes show positive relationship between NARS, ECNG, POPS, TRD, EDCT, GRF. Specifically, 1% increase EDCT leads corresponding GRF by 0.050%, 1.98%, 1.81%, 0.62%, 0.20%, respectively. This provides valuable policy recommendations countries, emphasizing need targeted strategies enhance through management resources, growth, education, trade.

Urbanisation is seen as a driving force for industrialisation, economic growth and increased prosperity, it has also brought environmental problems such high resource energy consumption. The aim of the study in this context, examines relationship between urbanisation, renewable consumption, quality. In line with purpose was analysed using data from 1969-2022. ADF, PP, Lee Strazicich unit root tests, Fractional Fourier Bootstrap ARDL test are applied to analyse data. According study's findings, efficiency positive effect on load capacity factor, while industrialisation have negative factor. Therefore, can be said that Türkiye growing economy by polluting environment. Moreover, since supports rapid urbanisation process, both further increase deterioration

This research aims to assess the effects of green technological innovation, renewable energy sources, and oil rents on load capacity factor in Saudi Arabia from 1988 2021. The primary conclusions can be outlined as follows. combined cointegration Saikkonen-Lütkepohl tests reveal long-run relationships between explanatory variables at 1% significance level. In comparison, Phillips-Ouliaris test shows evidence only 10%. Moreover, quantile regression indicates that adversely impact environmental quality; however, they remain contingent upon conditions. A increase results a decline quality by 0.025% under poor conditions, 0.036% moderate/normal 0.108% good On contrary, consumption innovation improve quality, irrespective prevailing However, impacts exceed those innovation. Results show leads 0.052-0.253% improvement whereas 0.017-0.047% improvement. Finally, population GDP per capita exert negative positive implications factor, respectively, while intensity has no significant effects. findings provide insights suggest policy recommendations address climate change meet targets set out SDG13.

Abstract Enhancing environmental quality is currently a key focus for policymakers. Furthermore, researchers are also prioritizing the investigation of novel variables that can influence quality. The yield spread commonly used as leading indicator business cycles in macro‐finance literature, providing information about future expectations regarding cycles. presents borrowing costs firms. None existing studies economics literature has tested impact on quality, implying level not been considered variable This study aims to fill this gap by evidence effect (between 2‐ and 10‐year government bonds) United States from June 1976 September 2023. results indicate an increase leads rise destruction. These suggest two considerable consequences. First, optimistic today lead overuse resources Second, firms' higher may be forcing them use less environmentally friendly production methods offset more expensive financing their profits. asserts companies should enhance sensitivity, policymakers adopt proactive stance, based other research demonstrates detrimental impacts regulation violations poor performances companies' stock prices financial performances.
