A large amount of cattle manure is generated in the US every year, creating challenges for ecosystem sustainability while offering opportunities value-added products through biorefinery. While methods like land application, composting, and anaerobic digestion are well established treating manure, advanced biorefinery technologies needed to enhance utilization or its digestate. Based on composition this review discusses digestate, including recovery fiber protein, production platform chemicals, such as volatile fatty acids, lactic acid, medium-chain carboxylic ethanol, single-cell lipids. Additionally, process integration simultaneously producing multiple from using various technologies. By insights into different approaches, aims support development integrated processes, thereby improving economic environmental management.

In line with the concept of sustainable agriculture, efforts should be made to increase green energy yield and minimize environmental impact mineral fertilizers, maintaining high agricultural productivity. alignment principles development, plant biomass-based is considered promising. A deep understanding enhancements anaerobic digestion process using biomass, along digestate post-treatment for regenerative agriculture improvements, are key elements achieve sustainability goals. This article describes innovative methods biomass pre-treatment aimed at enhancing biogas fertilizing potential obtained digestate.
