As global environmental challenges intensify, promoting green agricultural production technologies (GAPTs) that balance ecological and economic benefits at the farmer level has become a crucial pathway to achieving sustainable development. To achieve this goal, study uses an Ordered Probit model, which empirically tests impact mechanisms of digital supply marketing (DSM) participation on farmers’ adoption GAPTs, based micro-survey 1272 farmers from Shaanxi Province, Gansu Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in China. The findings reveal following: (1) Participation DSM effectively encourages adopt GAPTs. (2) Such enhances household per capita income, strengthens risk management, lowers entry barriers high-value markets, improves access information, thereby (3) Compared low-capital, high-labor, low-risk technologies, stronger incentivizing effect high-capital, low-labor, high-risk technologies. This offers novel empirical insights into It provides micro-level evidence supporting application agriculture safeguarding sustainability.

The application of digital technology offers new opportunities to promote the green transformation and upgrading agriculture. Farmers’ literacy, as a critical link between agricultural development, significantly influences their production decisions. Whether literacy serves an enabling factor driving farmers’ adoption technologies warrants further exploration. This paper uses entropy method measure levels employs Probit model for empirical analysis survey data from 643 farmers in Shandong Shaanxi provinces, examining how technologies. baseline regression result indicates that can increase A mechanism reveals enhanced promotes through three pathways: enhancing risk perception, expanding social capital, strengthening effectiveness promotion. Heterogeneity demonstrates improved enhances four technologies—water-saving irrigation, pest control, pollution-free pesticide, straw return fields—and exerts stronger impact on large-scale middle-generation farmers. Accordingly, this study suggests improving village infrastructure, comprehensively, formulating differentiated extension policies.

Abstract Popularizing low‐carbon production practice (LCPP) is essential for addressing climate change and achieving sustainable agricultural development. However, farmers' engagement in such practices remains suboptimal. The impact of the Internet, as a facilitative tool network economy era, has not been comprehensively explored. Utilizing survey data from 595 grain growers China, this study employs Poisson model to assess direct effect, heterogeneity, mechanism Internet use on LCPP among farmers. First, analysis reveals positive correlation between LCPP; specifically, each unit increase boosts likelihood engaging by 3.6 percentage points. Second, effect more pronounced new‐generation farmers, those large‐scale operations, economically developed villages. Third, enhances improving capital endowment, including cultural, social, economic capital. Consequently, government should enhance rural information infrastructure provide training help farmers build endowment promote LCPP.

Amid the urgent need to align agricultural practices with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this study examines role of digitalization in promoting sustainable and green development China. Specifically, it explores demand-side factors that drive improvements categorizes models into three types: market-oriented, policy-driven, innovation-driven. Utilizing provincial-level data from 2011 2021, employs semiparametric spatial Durbin empirically assess effects, underlying mechanisms, regional disparities advancing development. The main findings are as follows: (1) Overall, both level have gradually increased during period, significantly contributing (2) impact on shows an upward trend eastern, coastal, non-grain-producing regions, well southeastern areas “Hu Huanyong Line”. In contrast, inland regions northwestern Line” exhibit a U-shaped relationship, grain-producing experience clear inhibitory effect. Additionally, effect is more pronounced higher levels (3) Agricultural generates positive spillover benefiting not only local region but also surrounding areas, stronger radiative neighboring regions. (4) Mechanism analysis suggests under all models, can effectively enhance by improving alignment supply demand for products, accelerating establishment promotion brands, strengthening environmental regulation, fostering new business entities, mechanization, efficiency facility agriculture.
