With industrialization and widespread chemical use, soil organic pollutants have become a major environmental issue. Forest ecosystems, among the most important on Earth, unique potential for controlling remediating pollution. This article explores mechanisms of microbial community degradation pollutants, their adaptability across forest ecological conditions, effects factors efficiency. For example, acidic pH (pH < 5.5) favors PAH degradation, near-neutral (6.0–7.5) enhances pharmaceutical PPCP alkaline conditions > 7.5) facilitate petroleum hydrocarbon, VOC, breakdown. Optimal occurs with humidity levels between 60% 80%, SOM content 2–5%. review analyzes advancements in technologies ecosystem pollution treatment, including genetic engineering, composting, bioaugmentation, bio-stimulation techniques, integration phytoremediation. The also addresses challenges real-world implementation, such as maintaining diversity, managing pollutant complexity, adapting to changes, highlighting future research opportunities. next decade will focus synthetic biology, omics technologies, microbial-electrochemical systems, dynamics, eco-engineering, plant-microbe synergy develop efficient, sustainable bioremediation strategies.

Earthworm gut digestion plays a crucial role in reducing antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) during vermicomposting, offering significant potential for controlling ARG dissemination livestock manure. However, the impact of residual tetracycline antibiotics on this process remains poorly understood. Herein, study systematically evaluated three concentrations (0, 10, and 100 mg/kg) dynamics microbial community evolution 35-day vermicomposting cattle The results demonstrated that earthworm intestinal effectively eliminated over 96% initial load raw Noticeably, stress significantly enhanced total abundance casts (p < 0.05), with distinct response patterns observed among different types.
