The distribution of suitable habitats for medicinal plants is affected by climate, soil, land use, and other factors. Arnebiae Radix, an important traditional Chinese resource in Xinjiang, includes Arnebia euchroma (Royle) I. M. Johnst. guttata Bunge at risk over-exploitation. This study predicted planting areas integrating habitat phytochemical suitability using the MaxEnt model ArcGIS. AUC values A. were 0.977 0.952, with TSS 0.829 0.725, respectively, validating high accuracy prediction model. Under current scenario, 108,914 176,445 km2, mainly distributed along main mountains Xinjiang. future climate scenarios, area increased 11–18%, except ssp126-2090s while decreased 3–18%. Both species influenced use/land cover soil available nitrogen content; additionally, was precipitation driest month, mean diurnal range. content secondary metabolites positively correlated suitability, factors contributing 35.25% to total metabolite content. Their predominantly occur grasslands (42–82%). As distributions aligned, eastern western sides northern Kunlun Mountain Pass emerged as key cultivation. research can provide a scientific foundation selecting optimal regions two species.
