Elevated levels of metal(loid)s in soil may pose potential threats to the ecosystem and can be harmful for human health. The concentrations As, Cd, Pb, Cr Ni were determined agricultural collected from 45 pistachio orchards around Feizabad city, Khorasan Razavi province, Iran using ICP-OES. Also, pollution indices including contamination factor (CF), load index (PLI) geo-accumulation (Igeo) evaluated. In addition, non-carcinogenic carcinogenic risk estimated. mean order = 466.256 > 120.848 Pb 12.009 As 5.486 Cd 0.394 mg/kg. Concentrations samples within their respective permissible limits set by World Health Organization (WHO). But 84.4 100% samples, respectively exceeded WHO allowable limits. CF, PLI Igeo showed that some was contaminated with metals. possible sources metals are application pesticides, chemical fertilizers, manures as well irrigation water. Hazard quotient (HQ) ad (HI) values all found below threshold limit (1), suggesting there is no immediate non-cancer threat arising at children adults. highest cancer (1.13E-02 1.25E-03 adults) estimated soil. Collectively, this study provides valuable information improve reduce minimize associated health risks population area.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been an articulated practice for over 7 decades. Still, most corporations lack integrated framework to develop a strategic, balanced, and effective approach achieving excellence in CSR. Considering the world’s critical situation during COVID-19 pandemic, such is even more crucial now. We suggest subsuming CRS categories under Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) be used that they subsume CSR since SDGs are comprehensive agenda designed whole planet. This study presents new drivers model novel model. Then, it highlights advantages of integrating framework. The proposed benefits from both SDGs, addresses current future needs, offers better roadmap with measurable outcomes.

Cadmium (Cd) contamination in paddy fields is a serious health concern because of its high toxicity and widespread pollution. Recently, much progress has been made elucidating the mechanisms involved Cd uptake, transport, transformation from soils to rice grains, aiming mitigate associated risk; however, these topics have not critically reviewed date. Here, we summarized (1) geochemical distribution speciation soil-rice systems, (2) mobilization, transport soil grains risks, (3) pathways (4) transporters reducing accumulation plants, (5) factors governing bioavailability paddy, (6) comparison remediation approaches for mitigating environmental risks fields. Briefly, this review presents state art about fate contributing better understanding hazards ecosystems. Challenges perspectives controlling are thus raised. The findings may help develop innovative applicable methods sustainably manage Cd-contaminated

Abstract Soil-related problems have grown up to be a major threat human society. Scientific evaluation is helpful understand the status of soil pollution and provide reference further work. In this situation, Liaoning Province, typical industrial agricultural province in Northeast China, was selected as case study region. It reviewed 200 studies published between 2010 2020 recorded related data heavy metal. used model method index evaluate The comprehensive assessment score level 0.8998. Dalian 0.9536, ranking first among 14 cities. Huludao Jinzhou were 0.7594 respectively, ranked last. Heavy metal accumulation different cities stemmed from sources, including weathering parent materials, wastes, sewage irrigation, mining activities. general, at low risk level, but it still needs pay attention health input into soil, especially cadmium (Cd). This provides Liaoning, while identifying policy recommendations for mitigation environmental management.
