Abstract Microplastics (MPs) enter the global soil ecosystem in significant quantities, and agricultural lands, interact with amendments (e.g, fertilisers, pesticides, biochar), pollutants (e.g., heavy metals acid rain) fauna earthworms microbial biomass) which impacts carbon (C) nitrogen (N) cycling ways that are largely unexplored. Here, we analysed difference responses of C N contents, greenhouse gas emissions enzyme activities experiments where MPs alone or combination other had been explored, by conducting a meta‐analysis 2543 observational data extracted from 84 published studies. The results show associated significantly increased storage altered pool composition, dioxide (CO 2 ) nitrous oxide (N O) emissions, reduced ammonia (NH 3 activity one five major enzymes related to cycle, three four soil.
