The
interaction
between
microplastics
(MPs)
and
pollutants
is
crucial
for
assessing
the
environmental
risk
of
MPs.
It
necessary
to
pay
attention
adsorption/desorption
behavior
antibiotics
on
MPs
due
their
potential
role
in
antibiotic
resistance.
When
MPs-loaded
are
ingested
by
organisms,
they
enter
gastrointestinal
tract
undergo
desorption,
leading
corresponding
toxic
effects.
Existing
literature
primarily
focuses
adsorption
behavior,
while
there

lack
systematic
generalizations

or

Microplastics
(MPs),
emerging
as
significant
pollutants,
have
been
consistently
detected
in
aquatic
environments,
with
the
Yangtze
River
experiencing
a
particularly
severe
level
of
microplastic
pollution,
exceeding
all
other
watersheds
China.
Polypropylene
(PP),
plastic
most
abundantly
found
middle
and
lower
reaches
Basin,
has
less
comprehensive
research
results
into
its
toxic
effects.
Consequently,
present
investigation
employed
zebrafish
model
organism
to
delve
toxicological
impacts
polypropylene
microplastics
(PP-MPs)
diameter
5
μm
across
varying
concentrations
(300
mg/L
600
mg/L).
Using
histopathological,
microbiota
profiling,
transcriptomic
approaches,
we
systematically
evaluated
impact
PP-MPs
exposure
on
intestine
liver
zebrafish.
Histopathological
analysis
revealed
that
resulted
thinner
intestinal
walls,
damaged
mucosa,
hepatic
cellular
damage.
Intestinal
profiling
demonstrated
that,
richness,
uniformity,
diversity,
homogeneity
gut
microbes
significantly
increased
after
at
high
concentration.
These
alterations
were
accompanied
by
shifts
relative
abundance
associated
pathologies,
suggesting
profound
microbial
community
structure.
Concurrently,
transcriptome
RT-qPCR
indicated
downregulation
pathways
genes
cell
proliferation
regulation
DNA
damage
repair
mechanisms
contributed
damage,
ultimately
exerting
adverse
effects
liver.
Correlation
between
profiles
further
highlighted
associations
downregulated
pathways.
Collectively,
these

Various
aquaculture
modes
have
been
developed
to
satisfy
the
growing
demands
of
aquatic
products.

Microbial
colonization
of
plastic
polymers
in
Antarctic
environments
is
an
under-investigated
issue.

several
studies
are
documenting
the
spread

antibiotic-resistant
bacteria
(ARB)
