Tire wear and tear is among the largest sources of global microplastic pollution. Interviews conducted in 2024 appear to indicate 'incremental progress' toward improving governance tire wear. Knowledge ecological health consequences increasing. Pressure growing for greater producer responsibility. Global standards limit abrasion are forming. Regulations being implemented address chemical contamination, such as California. And some manufacturers supporting higher reengineering tires undercut competitors capture emerging markets lower-abrasion tires. Yet, a deeper analysis reveals, regulations remain highly uneven, piecemeal, inadequate on scale, with new risk-taking firms delay actions introduce chemicals 'solutions.' Moreover, I argue, 'dangerous form incrementalism' taking hold, where modest changes state policy corporate conduct conferring legitimacy processes unable prevent pollution from escalating globally.

This study aims to assess how customer well-being influences customers’ citizenship behavior nowadays, tourism and hotel organizations care about their customers. By studying behaviors satisfaction levels, one of these trends is determine the level build intimate relationships with them. Although there a wide range research on well-being, impact intimacy, has not received enough empirical investigation. fill this gap. In addition, we examine mediating role intimacy. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (Warp-PLS V.7) SPSS 26.0 were used analyze data collected from 333 customers in Cairo. The results show that both direct indirect effects behavior, intimacy acting as partial mediator. provide useful guidelines can help managers make more efforts enhance relationships, achieve citizenship, benefit its relationship.

Technical retrofit Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDSs) are a suitable option in the numerous mitigation measures to reduce amount of tyre wear entering environment. In study presented here, such filter system was tested under extreme conditions at ADAC Driving Safety Centre Berlin-Brandenburg. Despite technical separation limit 125 or 250 µm systems, particles > 6 were measured retained masses. addition, marker SBR used determine residues using TED-GC-MS analysis method. The highest concentrations found 20–63 fraction. results indicate that become smaller due high forces generated by braking and cornering. Test stand investigations retention efficiency 2/3 wear. Furthermore, show parameter ‘Total Suspended Solids < 63 µm’ (TSS63) is relevant evaluation for road runoff.

Tire wear particles (TWP) are a major source of microplastics in the environment. Despite their prevalence, effects tire particle leachates on marine microplankton communities remains poorly understood. In this study, we assessed acute impacts structure coastal assemblages from Canary Islands. Five laboratory experiments were conducted, exposing to range leachate dilutions over 72 h, with TWP prepared an initial concentration 1 g L⁻¹ .Our results revealed that abundances diatoms, most dinoflagellates, and ciliates significantly reduced following exposure leachates, median effective concentrations (EC50) ranging 30 660 mg L-1 depending plankton community. Interestingly, Ostreopsis cf. ovata, harmful algal bloom (HAB)-forming species, exhibited relatively high tolerance compared other microplankton. Compared biota, appear be vulnerable group (EC50 = 146 L-1). The higher O. ovata pollution phytoplankton species (resource competitors), combination factors, may contribute rise HABs polluted areas. Although field data limited, observed negative occurred at environmentally relevant concentrations. Our indicate can impact planktonic communities, highlighting urgent need reduce emissions develop less toxic rubber additives.

Non-exhaust emissions from brakes and tyres are becoming the major transport-related contributor of particulate matter (PM) pollution in cities. Furthermore, tyre microplastics unintentionally released all environmental compartments. The European Union introduced for first time worldwide limits (PM10) (total abrasion mass) with Euro 7 regulatory step. Thus, interest brake particles regarding health impacts has significantly increased recent years. In this review, we summarise studies that assessed impact on human, mammalian, aquatic, terrestrial cells organisms. compared to other sources. We also critically examine sampling methodologies studies.
