Background Phthalates, widely used as plasticizers, are pervasive environmental contaminants and endocrine disruptors. Their potential role in overactive bladder (OAB) pathogenesis is underexplored, necessitating further investigation into their impact on OAB using large-scale epidemiological data. Methods This study utilized data from the National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 2011 to 2018. A weighted multivariable logistic regression model was employed examine relationship between urinary phthalate concentrations OAB. Transport and vehicle traffic are closely connected with particulate matter (PM) pollution, inducing various fractions into the atmosphere, some of them forming significant deposits on surface car. Phthalate exposure is linked to prostate enlargement through sex hormonal changes and oxidative stress. However, its role action mechanism in cancer remain unclear. This study examined two patient cohorts: 204 patients undergoing biopsy (24 benign 180 malignancies) 85 with confirmed receiving robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy. Urine samples, collected informed consent, were analyzed for urinary DEHP metabolites using HPLC-MS ELISA. Patients exhibited significantly higher MEOHP ΣDEHP metabolite levels than those who underwent (unpaired t-test, p = 0.027 0.039, respectively). MIR-5010 upregulation MIR-205 downregulation observed paired small RNA sequencing analyses (urine pellets of vs. malignant PC3 cells without or treatment), correlating tumor staging the TCGA cohort. The relationship between prenatal phthalate exposure and preterm birth from previous studies has been inconsistent. ABSTRACT A growing concern has been raised about human exposure to phthalates and bisphenols, while data is limited regarding the accumulation of these endocrine disrupting chemicals at target tissue. In this study, a novel, simple, sensitive method was successfully developed for simultaneous determination nine phthalate monoesters bisphenols in prostate tissue samples. solid–liquid extraction procedure applied following ultra‐high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry analysis.
