Water pollution poses a severe threat to both aquatic ecosystems and human health, highlighting the crucial importance of monitoring regulating its levels in water bodies. In contrast traditional single-treatment approaches, multiple-treatment methods enable simultaneous detection removal pollutants using single material. This innovation not only offers convenience but also fosters more holistic effective approach remediation. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are versatile porous materials that offer significant potential for use wastewater treatment. article examines latest developments application MOFs multifaceted used removal, or degradation contaminants. Some exhibited different functions contaminants, some showed one function (adsorption detection) than contaminant. All multifunctional facilitate multiple treatment real wastewater. Lastly, existing challenges future outlooks concerning MOF addressed this paper.

Abstract: The distribution of Cu2+ between buffered aqueous phases and chloroform solutions 4,4´-(1E,1E´)-1,1´-(ethane-1,2-diylbis(azan-1-yl1ylidene))bis(5-methyl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-3-ol) (H2BuEtP) alone in the presence 1-(3-hydroxy-5-methyl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-yl) butan-1-one(HBuP) was investigated using solvent-solvent extraction. 200 mgL-1 used for study with an equilibration time 60 minutes. Concentration after determined AAS calculated by difference Copper concentration organic phases, ratios(D) percentage extractions(%E) were determined. Slope analysis from plots log D against buffers pHs, ligands concentrations metal to propose reaction equations extracted complexes as Cu(HBuEtP.X)(o) ligand Cu(HBuEtP.BuP)(o) HBuP. extraction constant Kex, obtained H2BuEtP (-5.11±0.7) greater than that H2BuEtP/HBuP (-12.94±1.26) which indicated HBuP did not exert any synergic effects Cu2+, even though partition coefficient 2.03 ± 0.81 > 0.97 0.62 H2BuEtP. Comparing results those other studies, showed carbon chain length structurally related on ions is dependent particular ion. a better extractant Ni2+ Fe2+ only Pb2+, UO2+ Cd2+ based Kex values.
