Skin represents an effective barrier against the penetration of external agents into human body. Nevertheless, recent research has shown that small particles, especially in nanosized range, can not only penetrate through skin but also work as vectors to transport active molecules such contrast or drugs. This knowledge opened new perspectives on nanomedicine and controlled drug delivery. On other hand, micro- nanoplastics represent a form emerging pollutants, their concentration environment been reported drastically increase last years. The possible these particles become major concern for health. If actual primary toxicity materials is still debated, role toxic skin, originating secondary toxicity, surely alarming. In this review paper, we analyze critically discuss most scientific publications underline how two processes, (i) delivery bioactive by nano-structures (ii) unwanted uncontrolled species mediated nanoparticles, are deeply related efficiency strongly affected nature, size, shape particles.
