Colorimetric-based biosensors are practical detection devices that can detect the presence and concentration of biomarkers through simple color changes. Conventional laboratory-based tests highly sensitive but require long processing times expensive equipment, which makes them difficult to apply for on-site diagnostics. In contrast, colorimetric method offers advantages point-of-care testing real-time monitoring due its flexibility, operation, rapid results, versatility across many applications. order enhance change reactions in techniques, functional nanomaterials often integrated their desirable intrinsic properties. this review, working principles nanomaterial-based strategies systems introduced. addition, current signal amplification methods comprehensively outlined evaluated. Finally, latest trends artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning integration into colorimetric-based biosensors, including potential technological advancements near future, discussed. Future research is expected develop multifunctional methods, will serve as powerful alternatives self-testing.
