Dramatic changes in the farmland soil–groundwater environment caused by irrigation affects geochemical behavior of arsenic (As). However, mechanism As mobilization during interactions remains unclear. This study explored effects phosphate (PO43−), fulvic acid (FA), and oxic/anoxic conditions on through batch column experiments. The results indicated that a saline–alkali involvement PO43−/FA suppressed adsorption capacity goethite for As(III) water PO43− had primary effect. An increase concentration further increased its inhibition. Notably, did not affect TAs presence high concentrations PO43−/FA. In soil environment, periodic led to regular fluctuations content pore water. addition resulted higher short term. contrast, FA greatly long-term mobility As. highlighted amplifies systems, particularly environments, exacerbates this effect, posing risks agricultural safety. systematic management practices is recommended mitigate these risks.
