The Sierra Seca aquifer system is located in the northeast (NE) of province Granada, Prebetic Domain (Betic Cordillera). It composed different units hosted Lower Cretaceous and Upper limestones. two aquifers are separated by a low permeability marl layer, which effectively acts as barrier between them. To outline behavior hydrogeological system, 407 samples precipitation 67 groundwater were obtained from May 2020 to Oct. 2022 isotopically (δ18O δ2H) analyzed. For estimation recharge elevation, new methodology has been applied estimate isotopic content function precipitation. This allowed evaluation vertical gradient both (∇Zδ18OP=−2.9 ‰/km) (−4.4 ‰/km≤∇Zδ18OR≤−2.9 ‰/km). Therefore, estimating (1) zone elevation associated with comprised 1500 1700 m a.s.l., (2) transit time reach outflow point varies 4 5 months, possible. Additionally, three tracer tests conducted hydrologic connection discharge zones system. results show that Fuente Alta spring drains limestones Cretaceous, while La Natividad does same Cretaceous. In case Enmedio spring, related infiltration through streambed watercourse fed spring.
