As global environmental challenges intensify, promoting green agricultural production technologies (GAPTs) that balance ecological and economic benefits at the farmer level has become a crucial pathway to achieving sustainable development. To achieve this goal, study uses an Ordered Probit model, which empirically tests impact mechanisms of digital supply marketing (DSM) participation on farmers’ adoption GAPTs, based micro-survey 1272 farmers from Shaanxi Province, Gansu Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in China. The findings reveal following: (1) Participation DSM effectively encourages adopt GAPTs. (2) Such enhances household per capita income, strengthens risk management, lowers entry barriers high-value markets, improves access information, thereby (3) Compared low-capital, high-labor, low-risk technologies, stronger incentivizing effect high-capital, low-labor, high-risk technologies. Resource-conservation technology (RCT) can optimize the use of natural resources, reduce waste, and promote sustainability in agricultural development. However, dissemination RCT among small-scale farmers still remains at a low level developing countries. Abstract In light of the escalating global warming and frequency extreme weather events, agricultural sector, being a fundamental pivotal industry worldwide, is encountering substantial challenges due to climate change. Using Chinese provincial panel data for 2000–2021, this paper utilizes two‐way fixed‐effect model investigate impact Climate Risk (CR) on green total factor productivity in agriculture (AGTFP), with China's policy uncertainty (CPU) introduced as moderating variable within research framework scrutinize its influence context. The findings reveal noteworthy adverse effect CR AGTFP, further exacerbated by CPU. Heterogeneity analysis results show that there clear regional variation AGTFP across different regions, significantly inhibiting development northern regions provinces major grain producing regions.
