Abstract The use of photocatalysts in environmental remediation has gained significant attention recently due to their capacity remove pollutants. This study explores the synthesis, characterization, and photocatalytic performance Ni doped ZnO nanostructures. To investigate impact “Ni” doping on activity, a simple coprecipitation method was utilized produce with different concentrations from 5 20 vol. % an interval Ni. Structural morphological investigations confirmed facile incorporation ions into lattice, resulting modifications surface morphology crystal structure. activity produced materials assessed by decomposition violet under visible light irradiation. results demonstrated that Ni‐doped nanostructures outperformed pure maximum degradation efficiency 100 observed at 120 min. for 15 vol.% concentration doping. increased is attributed synergistic effects doping, which enhance area 32 m 2 g −1 necessary efficient adsorption reactant molecules enable separation photogenerated electron‐hole pairs. Overall, show great promise variety applications, particularly organic contaminants.
