Abstract Waste cooking oils are commonly utilized as feedstock in biodiesel synthesis. However, there has been limited research on the perspective of using waste olive oil for production. This study explores potential household frying a production andcomparing it with sunflower oil. The samples were evaluated according to European standard specifications and test methods EN 14214. water content oxidation stability did not meet required criteria. To address this, Rancimat method was used investigate essential plant extracts antioxidants. Oregano rosemary significantly improved both biodiesel. analysis fatty acid profile through gas chromatography–mass spectrometry proved be critical determinant properties. Moreover, use ultrasound‐assisted synthesis enhanced yield findings have indicated that is sustainable option produce high‐yield noteworthy antioxidant when natural antioxidants incorporated into mixture.

Concerns about energy security and environmental sustainability have increased the preference for renewable sources. Biodiesel, a alternative to conventional diesel, has gained interest as potential solution. However, biodiesel's stability during storage susceptibility oxidation are significant challenges. Antioxidants essential enhance stability, ensuring fuel quality sustainability. While various studies examined effects of different antioxidant concentrations on biodiesel trial error bases, consensus most effective dosage range yet be established. This review emphasizes importance predictive models estimating amounts in biodiesel. Using mathematical formulations, statistical analyses, computational simulations, offer efficient accurate approaches understanding complex relationships between antioxidants, properties, stability. The examines link antioxidants discusses models' role determining optimal dosages, identifies factors influencing these decisions. It also highlights limitations suggests future research directions. conclusion is that systematically integrating data-driven strategies through facilitates cost-effective optimization advancing high-quality sustainable

ABSTRACT In this study, palm oil mill effluent (POME) and water were used as the medium or hydrogen donor solvent in hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) of Jatropha curcas . POME, with its high organic compound content, is seen a promising to be investigated. The POME analysis using GC–MS showed existence palmitic oleic acids. HTL was performed for both solvents batch reactor, three parameters varied (biomass‐to‐solvent ratio, temperature, reaction time). results that could J. It found produced higher yield (63.4%) than one (43.2%) lower biomass‐to‐solvent ratio (1:2) temperature (300°C) an optimum time (60 min), 30.8% solid 5.8% gas recorded. chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) ester content lowest acid obtained at 350°C solvents. As increased while decreased same temperature. High hydrocarbon experiment 300°C highest under conditions recorded good HHV value 39.07 MJ/kg oxygen ~11%, 81% carbon recovered, indicating energy recovery. extra generated through reforming leads stabilizing free radicals producing yields.

Abstract Today, new energy sources alternative to fossil fuels are needed meet the increasing demand. It is becoming increasingly important constitute from waste biomass through liquefaction process. In this study, walnut shells (WS) were liquefied catalytically and non-catalytically under different parameters using method. process, effect of silica fume/nano zero-valent iron (SF/NZVI) catalysts on conversion rates was investigated. The catalyst synthesized by reducing NZVI a liquid phase chemical reduction method SF. SF/NZVI characterized scanning electron microscopy- dispersive X-ray (SEM–EDX), transmission microscope (TEM), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), diffraction (XRD), photoelectron (XPS) analysis. various process context, reaction temperature ranged 300 400 °C, solid/solvent ratio 1/1 1/3, time 30 90 min, concentration 1 6%. According results obtained, most suitable operating conditions for non-catalytic experiments in WS found be 60 1/3. catalytic conditions, optimum values obtained as 375 highest total (oil + gas) % 90.4% 46.7% 90.7% 62.3% respectively. Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) analysis revealed bio-oil mainly composed aromatic compounds (benzene, butyl-, indane their derivatives,) polyaromatic (naphthalene, decahydro-, cis-, naphthalene, 1-methyl-.). aim quantity quality light product study has been achieved.
