This study presents a systematic bibliometric analysis to identify trends and gaps in research on SME business models performance, following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. A comprehensive search of the Scopus database (1957–2025) identified 85,494 initial records. After removing duplicates applying screening criteria, 307 studies were included, with only 22 specifically focused performance. The flow diagram illustrates selection process. findings reveal three key themes: digitalisation, model innovation, sustainability. contributes literature by providing structured research, highlighting geographic disparities, theoretical gaps, underexplored areas, such as role institutional factors imbalance highlights need for broader geographical representation future studies. emphasises importance further adaptive resilient models, particularly emerging markets. It also recommends greater collaboration across disciplines advance practical insights this field. By approach, provides overview current identifies areas requiring investigation.

While individual SMEs may have a minor environmental footprint, their collective influence is characterized as significant. Through the dynamics of employees, green human resource management can help reduce footprint. However, face difficulties in implementing such strategies and achieving sustainable business continuity. The current research aims to propose theoretical framework model that will adjust new environment, address goals gaps field, build resilient, agile ecosystem. To approach issue, we used R-based Bibliometrix tool. Using Scopus database, 368 papers were selected analyzed part study’s five steps. Bibliometric tools Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, R Studio been illustrate findings. findings highlight few different factors serve foundation for proposed model. Green competencies, both natural acquired, well requirement provide motivation, are identified critical development Furthermore, combination this set contributes achievement organizational citizenship behavior, which one most important helping adopt methods. Finally, all above under wing principles management, drive businesses enhance boost performance.

Abstract The significance of firm environmental performance (FEP) has been recognized by academic experts. Nevertheless, a comprehensive exploration the driving factors behind it remains lacking. In order to bridge this gap, study employs perspective Triple Bottom Line theory and explores influence senior management sustainability commitment (SMSC) green human resource practices (GHRMP) on FEP. Furthermore, direct mediating role GHRMP SMSC–FEP relationship. moderation knowledge organizational culture was also explored. A questionnaire with closed‐ended questions sent online 321 manufacturing companies, followed analysis using SmartPLS 4.0. results indicate that SMSC significant both Elucidation is provided in discourse relating theoretical practical contribution. Additionally, limitations potential for further inquiry are specified.

Although environmental turbulence poses significant challenges for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), it also offers opportunities them to thrive compete. Scholars generally acknowledge the effectiveness of dynamic capabilities (DCs) artificial intelligence (AI) applications in responding quickly market uncertainties; however, their impact on boosting firm performance during real-time requires further investigation. To address this gap, study examined influence SME innovation using AI DCs how new can be leveraged maintain a competitive advantage. This adopted quantitative approach, survey data were collected from 487 managers owners SMEs that implemented turbulence. The results indicate elements SMEs' implementation both AI, acting as mediators between disruptive enhancing challenging times. theoretical practical implications these findings are discussed depth.

This article aims empirically to assess the indirect effect of two critical environmental factors, technological turbulence (TT) and research development (R&D) incentives on corporate performance through strategic agility business model innovation. Based Dynamic Capabilities Theory, this study explains how factors trigger a chain events by initially influencing that further drives renewal model, ultimately leading an increase in performance. The data from 410 Turkish companies are analyzed structural equation modeling method, giving details causality relationships related sequential effects according firm's sector. Findings highlight impact R&D remains relatively low compared technology turbulence, observed change industry which firm operates. After discussing detailed results summarizing contributions, concludes suggesting future topics.

– It is often assumed that business model innovation drives firm performance, especially when firms operate in highly dynamic environments. However, despite the rise research on models, there little systematic evidence of how various levels environmental dynamism actually influence performance effects two basic types innovation, namely replication (i.e., scaling up and improving an existing model) renewal introducing a new model). In this paper, we delineate conceptual distinction between these investigate impacts their outcomes. Based cross-industry survey includes both SMEs larger firms, show weakens positive performance. By contrast, environments where level intermediate, rather than high or low, strengthens renewal. We discuss insights contribute to literature they can provide top managers with guidance innovate turn it into competitive advantage.
