Improving farmers’ digital skills is instrumental in reducing the risk of farmer households reverting to poverty and fostering sustainable livelihood development. The study reveals that, when considering only loan amounts, digitalization-only strategy is identified as optimal approach. However, decisions are influenced by not amounts but also other factors, such interest rates. There is a close symbiotic relationship among digital finance, rural and agriculture. The three promote influence each other to jointly drive revitalization agricultural modernization. Using panel data from 30 provinces in China spanning 2015 2021, this paper quantitatively analyzes the dynamic characteristics, spatial patterns, driving mechanisms of agriculture, their relationships through coupling coordination degree model (CCDM) geographically temporally weighted regression (GTWR). study shows that between finance dominated by coordinate quasi relationship. evolution indices diversified, with emergence variety patterns such as continuously declining, fluctuating upward, relatively stable, L-shaped, inverted U-shaped, W-shaped, V-shaped, tilted Z-shaped, M-shaped, its changes exhibit significant variability, agglomeration correlation. mechanism complicated, nature intensity factors are regional time-varying. Except for fiscal self-sufficiency rate, which plays long-term positive promotion role, most exert mixed effects (both promoting negative inhibitory). For reason, it recommended government should change trend management, balancing weak strong interventions. Agricultural social services (ASS) are crucial in alleviating resource constraints and advancing agricultural modernization. Using the data derived from China Land Economic Survey (CLES2022), this study empirically investigates how digital literacy influences farmers’ adoption of ASS, employing both Probit Propensity score matching (PSM) models. Additionally, it explores mediating roles long-term production vision part-time employment degrees relationship. The findings are: (1) exhibited a statistically significant positive effect on ASS at 1% level. Moreover, impact varied among participants technology training, different education levels, varying levels risk preference; (2) act as mediators, enhancing ASS.
