Background: COVID-19's recognition as a multi-organ disease with diverse manifestations extends beyond acute illness into post-recovery phases. Post-COVID-19 infection, individuals often endure spectrum of psychiatric symptoms, notably including persistent insomnia. This study aimed to investigate insomnia's correlation age, gender, comorbidity, infection severity, and biomarkers during hospitalization. Methods: employed prospective design explore the between insomnia various factors in COVID-19 survivors. Data were collected over one-year period, an emphasis on biomarkers. Results: The incidence among patients was approximately 7%. Notably, no significant statistical emerged severity. Furthermore, prevalence remained unaffected by demographic such or comorbidity. Conclusions: lasting impact mental health, particularly terms insomnia, underscores necessity for targeted interventions. Identifying contributing survivors holds paramount importance developing effective management strategies that bolster overall well-being quality life. Recognizing addressing long-term consequence becomes imperative, implementing appropriate interventions support services can mitigate detrimental effects physical health. Ultimately, this contributes improved outcomes enhanced life

Objective: This is a retrospective study done in tertiary care medical college hospital south India to look for clinico-epidemiological profile of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients admitted the intensive unit (ICU). can help us identifying risk factors leading increased mortality. Hence, these modifying treatment depending on that are present. Methods: All who diagnosed with COVID-19 reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction positivity ICU enrolled. Data collected retrospectively by analyzing case records and looking all parameters, such as age, sex, underlying comorbidity, method oxygen therapy, degree severity, inflammatory markers. data analyzed compared between survivors non-survivors. Results: 81% were male comparison female contributing 19%. 55% <60 years 45% >60 years. Non-survivors had mean age 64.5 Average days admission, onset hypoxia after symptom 4.2 days, 8.5 7.8 respectively. PaO2 P/F ratio was 81.25 165.9, The average non-survivors 144 having 187. high-resolution computed tomography score admission discharge 12.4 11.9, Regarding markers lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), Ferritin, interleukin-6 462, 618.2, 130.56, LDH 538.3 when 421.4. Conclusion: showed there mortality an increase especially Severe respiratory failure ratio<144 Patients

Objective. The importance of in vitro laboratory diagnostic tests for COVID-19 lies assessing disease severity, monitoring patients, therapeutic monitoring, and predicting prognosis. aim our study was to evaluate inflammation biomarkers patients their association with cardiomyocyte, liver, kidney damage, impact on progression. Methods. included 50 38 (76%) male 12 (24%) female, an average age 64.38 ± 10.95 years, treated 2021 at the Clinic Infectious Diseases University Clinical Center Kragujevac. Biomarkers inflammation, damage were analyzed beginning hospitalization tenth day using standard methods autoanalyzer. Results. Analysis showed a significant increase parameters compared initial values: leukocytes (p=0.003), neutrophils (p=0.002), platelets (p<0.001), C-reactive protein PCT (p=0.011), IL-6 (p=0.004). Hepatocyte (ALT (p=0.005), GGT p=0.033)), function (urea (p<0.001) creatinine (p=0.042)) also increased significantly. Positive correlations found between cardiomyocyte hepatocyte admission. CRP concentrations associated risk while neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) platelet (PLR) predicted heart damage. Conclusion. Systemic leads disruptions body homeostasis, reflected changes multi-system tissue organ Monitoring these can help predict progression complications.
