Abstract
The
traditional
method
of
manufacturing
propellant
tanks
for
rockets
and
spaceships
involves
significant
amounts
forging,
machining,
making
it
expensive
environmentally
unfriendly.
A
novel
approach
that
reduces
the
need
machining
friction
stir
welding
processes
has
been
presented
in
this
paper.
This
a
tank
half
starting
from
single
metal
plate,
using
innovative
advanced
forming
such
as
hot
stretch
forming,
magnetic
pulse
hub
integrated
stiffened
cylinder
(ISC)
flow
followed
by
orbital
two
halves.

cycle

was
conducted

with
ISO
14044:2006
standard
ReCiPe
2016

compare
environmental
impacts

developed
