Abstract
Appendicularians
are
recognized
as
one
of
the
most
abundant
mesozooplankton
groups
in
numerous
pelagic
environments
and
they
play
a
crucial
role
marine
ecosystems
bridge
gap
between
primary
producers
higher
trophic
levels
food
webs.
Zooplankton
samples
were
collected
during
three
spring
oceanographic
surveys
conducted
2014,
2015,
2016,
coastal
zone
(Staten
Island)
oceanic
(Namuncurá-Banco
Burdwood
Marine
Protected
Area).
Our
study
focuses
on
comparative
analysis
species
composition,
density,
biomass,
maturity
stages
appendicularia
these
regions,
which
marked
by
distinct
physical
biological
attributes.
Two
appendicularians
found
area,
Oikopleura
fusiformisFritillaria
borealis,
former
being
dominant.
Their
distribution
was
different
because
F.
borealis
mainly
concentrated
while
O.
consistently
recorded
both
zones.
Chlorophyll-a
concentrations
