Abstract
In
order
to
valorize
the
enzymatic
hydrolysis
residues
(EHR)
from
bioethanol
industry,
this
work
studies
effects
on
structure,
properties
as
well
shear
resistance
of
EHR‐based
phenol
formaldehyde
(EPF)
adhesives
prepared
EHR
instead
commercial
phenol.
2D
heteronuclear
signal
quantum
coherence
NMR
(2D
HSQC
NMR)
and
31
P
analysis
reveal
that
lignin
in
(EHL)
possesses
a
high
amount
G
H
units
which
contain
1.9
mmol
g
−1
active
sites
(reaction
site
with
formaldehyde).
Fourier‐transform
infrared
(FT‐IR)
characterization
shows
proportions
5–30%
EPF
do
not
show
great
influence
chemical
structure
type
main
functional
groups
adhesives.
The
strength
measurement
results
10%‐EPF
adhesive
is
significantly
improved
by
29%
compared
phenol‐formaldehyde
(PF)
adhesive,
due
EHL
enhanced
cross‐linking
polymer
chains.
This
emphasizes
potential
benefits
using
industrial
develop
cost‐effective
preparation
schemes,
therefore
giving
an
additional
value
waste
biorefineries.

Abstract
The
development
of
multifunctional
bio‐adhesive
plays
a
critical
role
in
achieving
sustainable
society,
where
the
intrinsic
sensitivity
to
water
and
poor
dynamics
severely
bottlenecks
its
scale‐up
application.
Inspired
by
microstructure
dragonfly
wings,
strong
tough
adhesive
with
excellent
reprocessability
is
designed

dynamic

consisting

polyurea
(LPU)

LPU
