Abstract Magnetic iron oxide/kaolinite (MK) composite was synthesized using co-precipitation method and characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM/EDX, TGA, XPS, VSM, zeta potential analyses. The consisting of kaolinite halloysites with small clusters oxide on its outer surface used in batch experiments to adsorb Congo red dye at different temperatures. adsorption data were fitted three isotherms Langmuir isotherm best fitting the data. maximum capacity MK adsorbent found be around 45.59 mg/g. Adsorption kinetics obtained temperatures pseudo-first-order pseudo-second-order models, where latter model able better interpret a rate constant 8.60 × 10 −2 g.mg −1 .min . Further analysis kinetic revealed that mechanism could explained via intraparticle diffusion model. Thermodynamic parameters ΔG°, ΔH°, ΔS° for process determined results revealing favorable, endothermic, physical nature. Finally, comparison other adsorbents showed exhibits significant as an removal organic pollutants from aqueous solutions.

The present study was aimed at synthesizing algae-derived biochar to examine its effectiveness and adsorption capacity remove Congo red dye. independent variables such as dye concentration, adsorbent dose, time were optimized by using a central composite design (CCD). The current research involved the synthesis of hydroxyapatite powders using Faunus ater shell (FaS), which is a snail found in brackish water, as source calcium. Hydroxyapatite (HAp) produced through hydrothermal FaS, employing calcination temperatures at 900 °C (HAp900) and 1000 (HAp1000). samples underwent analysis scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) X-ray diffraction (XRD) to determine phases present. Additionally, quantitative chemical synthesized heat-treated was conducted fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy. XRD determined that HAp900 HAp1000 exhibited amorphous structures, with additional presence Tetracalcium Phosphate (TTCP) phase detected HAp 900. Furthermore, XRF on both samples, revealing molar ratios Ca/P 2.56 1.67 for respectively. FTIR spectrum revealed contains phosphate, carbonate, hydroxyl groups.

In the present study, chitosan/gelatin/hydroxyapatite (HA) coating was developed on 316L stainless steel (SS) via electrophoretic deposition (EPD). This type of film exhibits a hierarchical structure consisting hydroxyapatite particles dispersed in chitosan/gelatin matrix. An array different analytical, electrochemical, and bioactive techniques used to investigate coatings. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) transmission (TEM) images showed that HA are well X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) results revealed phosphorus is bonded oxygen confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrum. The electrochemical studies chitosan/gelatin/HA bare SS were conducted impedance (EIS) potentiodynamic polarization. indicated corrosion resistance (conducted simulated body fluid (SBF)) mainly contributed embedded Moreover, pitting potential composite coatings increased compared SS. Chitosan/gelatin/HA apatite crystals upon immersion SBF, thus confirming nature coating. Furthermore, cyto-compatible allows osteoblast cells proliferate grow. suitable candidate for biomedical applications regrading mechanical chemical attack.

As a result of the sol-gel method, we were able to produce pure ZnO and ZnO-doped TiO2 nanocomposites. The hexagonal wurtzite phase in products was discovered by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD). are typically crystallites, formed according Debye Scherrer formula. Nanocomposites with significant morphological changes created using process, including those that resembled rocks. To determine composition Zn, O, Ti atoms samples, multidimensional analysis performed. There is an energy gap between 3.61 eV, as determined UV-vis spectroscopy. In this study, nanocomposites used study degradation methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. Over irradiation course 6 h, composite (84%) studied. kinetic analysis, made from followed pseudo-first-order kinetics. presence nanocomposites, antibacterial activity significantly improved.
