Hypertension, a major global health issue and leading cause of death, is often under-assessed by traditional metrics like Body Mass Index which fail to capture comprehensive cardiovascular risks associated with obesity. The Cardiometabolic (CMI), evaluates abdominal obesity dyslipidemia, offers more accurate assessment visceral fat metabolic dysfunction. In this study, we analyzed data from 45,250 participants the National Health Nutrition Examination Survey spanning 1999 2020. Using multivariable logistic regression, explored association between CMI hypertension, employing Restricted Cubic Spline analysis assess non-linear relationships two-piecewise linear regression identify threshold effects. Subgroup analyses confirmed consistency our findings across various demographic clinical characteristics. Findings that hypertensive exhibited significantly higher levels (median 0.46 vs. 0.73), adjusted showing notable increased hypertension prevalence (OR 1.30, 95% CI 1.25-1.35, P < 0.01), characterized nonlinear L-shaped curve critical identified at value 1.37. revealed pronounced impact on in females. These results underscore CMI's potential enhance risk diverse U.S. populations.

The aim was to ascertain potential of as a predictive biomarker for research employed data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2013 2016. Weighted logistic regression analyses were investigate Restricted cubic spline (RCS) executed males females scrutinize non-linear correlation Subsequently, piecewise analysis carried out based on RCS findings. In females, notably lower in those with hyperlipidemia comparison without this condition (P < 0.05), No significant variation demonstrated > 0.05). participants stratified by sex subjected model. When log2-transformed, it significantly negatively associated risk even after adjusting all covariates (OR 0.45, 95% CI 0.24–0.82), which not observed 1.14, 0.63–2.06). same results third tertile α-Klotho. Moreover, suggested nonlinear 0.01). inflection point found be 1106.87 pg/mL. model revealed that when exceeded pg/mL, link no longer investigation highlights sex-based exhibited negative hyperlipidemia, displaying saturation effect. Serum emerges promising biological marker among females.

Preserved ratio impaired spirometry (PRISm) is a prevalent yet under-researched state of diminished lung function, which has been proposed as pre-clinical abnormal associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or early-stage COPD. PRISm closely cardiovascular disease. Preventing and improving quality life in subjects important. We aimed to examined the relationship between American Heart Association's Life's Essential 8 (LE8) PRISm. This cross-sectional study utilized data 2,869 adults aged ≥ 20 years from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2007–2012. Multivariable logistic regression models were employed examine association LE8 score, health behavior factor each component Moreover, explored this correlation greater depth using restricted cubic spline curves subgroup analyses. Of participants, mean age was 44.09 ± 0.44 years, 316 (11.01%) defined having In fully adjusted models, higher scores reduced odds for (OR = 0.97; 95% CI, 0.96–0.98). A linear score observed. Similar patterns emerged subscores, particularly stronger factors analysis, inverse significantly more pronounced among those high income. lower likelihood developing Promoting optimal adherence metrics may improve offers meaningful approach its prevention management.

Ethylene oxide (EO) is an industrial chemical used in the production of both consumer and non-consumer products.Additionally, it utilized as a gaseous sterilant for medical devices. As anti-aging hormone, kloth involved various physiological processes. At present, association between EO exposure klotho remains uncertain. In this retrospective cross-sectional study, 1696 participants aged 40-79 years 2013-2016 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey were included. was measured using hemoglobin adducts (HbEO) human whole blood or erythrocytes. Klotho levels also samples. Linear regression, smooth curve fitting, subgroup analyses to assess whether HbEO associated with level. After full adjustment confounders, negative log2HbEO observed after multivariate (β=-17.29, 95% CI = - 28.42 ~ 6.17, P 0.002). When categorized into quintiles, fifth quintile exhibited significant differences compared lowest (β=-70.79, 122.54 19.04, 0.007). The fitting shows inverse "L-shaped" relationship (P nonlinearity 0.04). summary, nonlinear found klotho. Further research required confirm causality connection clarify underlying mechanisms.
