Objective The possible interaction of dietary flavonoid intake and sleep on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has not been well studied. This study investigated the between trouble sleeping risk NAFLD. Methods Three discrete National Health Nutrition Examination Survey data cycles from 2007 to 2010 2017 2018 were used. NAFLD was diagnosed by a US Fatty Liver Index ≥30. A questionnaire sleeping. Univariate multivariate logistic regression, restricted cubic spline (RCS) subgroup analyses used evaluate association flavonoids, We employed relative excess due interaction, attributable proportion synergy index additive interactions. Results Ultimately, 5056 participants enrolled, higher anthocyanidins flavanones negatively correlated with Conversely, positively associated These correlations remained stable after adjusting for confounders, there sex difference in this relationship. In RCS model, anthocyanins non-linearly related NAFLD, while showed negative linear Moreover, synergistic interplay low anthocyanin similar relationship existed flavanone intake. Conclusion Anthocyanin associated, whereas risk. There effect same

Sophora flavescens is a medicinal herb distributed widely in Japan and it has been used to treat various diseases symptoms. To explore its pharmacological use, we examined the estrogenic activity of four prenylated flavonoids, namely kurarinone, kushenols A I, sophoraflavanone G, which are characterized by lavandulyl group at position 8 ring A, but have variations hydroxyl positions 3 (ring C), 5 A) 4' B). These flavonoids were via cell proliferation assays using sulforhodamine B, Western blotting, RT-PCR, corresponding cell, protein, transcription assays, respectively, based on estrogen action mechanisms. All employed here found weak clear activities for examined. Furthermore, inhibited an receptor antagonist, suggesting that likely being mediated receptors. However, there differences activity, attributable 4', absent kushenol A. While kurarinone G reported before, best our knowledge, no such reports I. Therefore, this study represents first report their activity.
