Cordyceps militaris, well known for its therapeutic potential in managing type-2 diabetes through the inhibition of α-amylase and α-glucosidase enzymes, was central focus this research, which investigated influence various cultivation substrates on enzymatic inhibitory properties bioactive compound content. Previous studies have primarily focused general pharmacological benefits C. militaris but not thoroughly explored how different affect profile enzyme activities. This study aimed to evaluate impact substrate selection activities levels compounds such as cordycepin adenosine demonstrating that markedly affects both these enzymes’ levels. Particularly, fruiting bodies grown Brihaspa atrostigmella showed highest concentrations (2.932 mg/g) (1.062 mg/g). also exhibited most potent with an IC50 value 336.4 ± 16.0 µg/mL effective 504.6 4.2 µg/mL. Conversely, cultivated solid residues Gryllus bimaculatus displayed strongest xanthine oxidase (XOD) inhibition, lowest 415.7 11.2 These findings highlight critical role choice enhancing medicinal suggesting optimized can enhance more natural therapies other metabolic disorders. only extends understanding militaris’ illustrates applicability developing customized treatment options.

Aging is a multifaceted physiological process marked by alterations in human appearance and the progressive decline organ function. With intensification of global population aging, health older individuals has emerged as critical concern, particularly given significant impact cardiovascular aging on overall outcomes. Although an inevitable natural process, strategies aimed at delaying its progression can enhance In recent years, products have garnered increasing attention for their potential disease intervention, attributed to high efficacy relatively low side-effect profiles. These demonstrated anti-aging effects several studies. This review provides comprehensive overview mechanisms underlying reviews biological activities various active constituents combating aging. It encompasses latest findings trends from both vitro vivo studies, thereby offering theoretical foundation development novel, side effect, rapidly acting drugs that target Natural exert anti-cardiovascular through multiple mechanisms, including antioxidant activity, apoptosis inhibition, anti-thrombosis, anti-fibrosis, anti-atherosclerosis, blood pressure regulation. For instance, water-soluble components Salvia miltiorrhiza , such tanshinone salvianolic acid B, improve function modulating oxidative stress inflammatory responses. Ligustrazine Rhizoma Chuanxiong reduces myocardial injury activating phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-protein kinase B signaling pathway, whereas Ginkgo biloba leaf extract enhances vascular regulating inflammation. Additionally, animal-derived products, antler peptides royal jelly, cardioprotective effects. However, current studies possess limitations, with insufficient evidence supporting clinical application many products. Their long-term safety humans require further validation. Despite these challenges, hold improving among elderly. continued research into action advancement trials, they are expected become important tools enhancing quality life Future should explore develop safer more effective drugs, contributing positively societal health.
