The emergence of COVID-19 has caused unprecedented impacts on global public health and many other aspects. Meanwhile, types methods have been developed to detect the causative agent, SARS-CoV-2; this greatly advanced technologies in diagnostic field. Here, we describe development validation a sample-in-result-out POCKIT Central SARS-CoV-2 PCR system for detecting comparison with commercial reference real-time RT-PCR assay (TaqPath Combo Kit). Both assays were specific did not cross-react non-SARS-CoV-2 agents. able various strains including some variants. Based testing serial dilutions USA-WA1/2020 isolate, limit detection was 0.8 TCID50/mL (1.87 × 103 genomic copies/mL) 0.16 (3.75 102 PCR. Subsequently, 183 clinical samples tested by both sensitivity, specificity, agreement 91.7%, 100%, 94.0%, respectively, when compared compact sample-to-result is simplified efficient point-of-care tool detection. In addition, platform can be readily adapted human animal viruses.

Abstract Since 2019 the world has been in a combat with highly contagious disease COVID-19 which is caused by rapid transmission of SARS-CoV-2 virus (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2). Detection this an early stage helps to control its spread and management. To epidemic one-time effective medication, improved quick analytical procedures must be developed validated. The requirement for accurate precise methods diagnosis antibodies infected patients matter concern. global impact motivated scientists researchers investigate develop various diagnostic techniques. This review includes study standard are reliable accredited recognition said virus. For detection RNA, RT-PCR (Real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction) method among other and, thus, considered as “gold standard” technique. Here, we outline most extensively used diagnosing COVID-19, along brief description each technique aspects/perspective.

A bifunctional ensemble of papain-capped gold nanoparticles (AuNFs) exhibits dual functionality, manifesting peroxidaselike and 4-nitrophenol reduction activities. The AuNFs, possessing an average size approximately 82.27 ± 1.95 nm, are synthesized under ambient conditions through the mediation papain, wherein HAuCl4 by ascorbic acid is facilitated. These nanoflowers capable catalyzing H2O2 to oxidize target 3,3,5,5-tetramethylbenzidine, resulting in production a visual color blue. Therefore, simple method providing sensitivity 0.44 µM (signal/noise ratio = 2) linearity within range 0 40 available detect colorimetry. Subsequently, chemical activity associated with 4-NP (4-nitrophenol) was studied, it found exhibit catalysis rate 0.29 min-1 , surpassing that alternative catalysts. findings underscore potential utility our AuNFs catalytic biosensing applications.
