AbstractBetween 2013 and 2019 the suicide rate for African American young persons 15–24 years of age rose by 47% males 59% females. Presently, little is known about factors that contribute to suicidal behavior Americans in late adolescence emerging adulthood. However, considering coinciding increase high potency marijuana use among literature suggesting a potential link between behavior, we examined early onset as risk factor ideation. The sample included 221African students (70% female Mage = 20.3, SD 1.97) attending an HBCU 2020. Annotation.
