BACKGROUND Major depressive disorder (MDD) with comorbid anxiety is an intricate psychiatric condition, but limited research available on the degree centrality (DC) between anxious MDD and nonanxious patients. AIM To examine changes in DC values their use as neuroimaging biomarkers non-anxious METHODS We examined 23 patients, 30 28 healthy controls (HCs) using for data analysis. RESULTS Compared HCs, group reported markedly reduced right fusiform gyrus (FFG) inferior occipital gyrus, whereas elevated left middle frontal parietal angular gyrus. The exhibited surged bilateral cerebellum IX, precuneus, opercular part of Unlike group, declined FFG calcarine (CAL). Besides, CAL negatively correlated scores group. CONCLUSION This study shows that abnormal patterns MDD, especially CAL, can distinguish from its subtype, indicating a potential biomarker.

The role of degree centrality (DC) in schizophrenia (SCZ), its trajectory following pharmacological treatment, and potential as a prognostic biomarker genetic mechanism remain unclear. We recruited 51 healthy controls (HC) 56 patients with SCZ. Additionally, the SCZ underwent three months antipsychotic medication treatment. collected resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data, clinical variables, conducted analyses using support vector machines, regression, gene expression correlation analysis. Our study revealed that had generally reduced DC values cerebral cortex compared to HC at baseline, increased observed left occipital gyrus. After exhibited significant decrease fusiform gyrus an increase inferior parietal Variations were associated multiple genes, primarily enriched molecular functions. Changes right occipital/fusiform calcarine/middle may serve neuroimaging markers differentiate between patients. middle/postcentral could be used predict treatment outcomes. Transcriptome-neuroimaging spatial analysis provides valuable insights into neurobiological mechanisms underlying pathology.
