In the context of fitness live streaming on TikTok, this study investigates factors affecting user participation as follows: users’ health consciousness, interactivity, streamers’ attractiveness and professionalism, well perceived usefulness easy content. This investigation is conducted by constructing an SOR conceptual model. 905 participants from China were invited to participate in questionnaire survey, data 749 valid questionnaires analyzed. The results indicate that attractiveness, confirmed usefulness, ease use have significantly positive effects emotional attachment. Emotional attachment, turn, has a impact participation, acting mediator relationship. holds theoretical significance practical guidance for development TikTok enhancing engagement.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are rapidly being deployed to develop AI-powered applications, including AI fitness apps. These AI-enhanced apps more intelligent and human-like than their conventional counterparts, offering users a highly engaging personalized experience. However, the underlying mechanisms driving these experiences require further exploration. This research focuses on two key attributes of AI—perceived (PI) perceived anthropomorphism (PA)—and investigates effects user behavioral intentions through various gratifications in context Using survey data from 408 participants, our empirical findings reveal that PI PA significantly influence users' use purchase apps, primarily by enhancing such as exercise enjoyment, social presence, interaction. provide valuable insights guidance for app developers leveraging optimize functionalities enhance engagement.

Purpose As fitness apps have integrated gamification elements into their design to transform exercise a compelling and competitive experience, this study draws on the expectation confirmation model (ECM) self-determination theory (SDT) propose comprehensive framework for sustained usage by satisfying psychological needs of users. Design/methodology/approach A longitudinal is utilized where data from 598 app users were gathered over two distinct phases separated 24 weeks, analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings The findings until phase 1 depict that motivational affordances significantly affect mastery, autonomy relatedness, which in turn exert significant influence flow.
