Artificial
intelligence
(AI)
technologies
are
rapidly
being
deployed
to
develop
AI-powered
applications,
including
AI
fitness
apps.
These
AI-enhanced
apps
more
intelligent
and
human-like
than
their
conventional
counterparts,
offering
users
a
highly
engaging
personalized
experience.
However,
the
underlying
mechanisms
driving
these
experiences
require
further
exploration.

research
focuses
on
two
key
attributes
of
AI—perceived
(PI)
perceived
anthropomorphism
(PA)—and
investigates
effects
user
behavioral
intentions
through
various
gratifications
in

Purpose
As
fitness
apps
have
integrated
gamification
elements
into
their
design
to
transform
exercise
a
compelling

competitive

on
the
expectation
confirmation
model
(ECM)
self-determination
theory
(SDT)

framework

sustained
usage
by
satisfying
psychological
needs

longitudinal
