Objectives:

To uncover the predictive value of systemic immune-inflammatory index (SII) and inflammatory response (SIRI) on early pregnancy loss.

Methods:

A total 535 individuals were enrolled in this retrospective analysis. The losses (EPL) group included patients between 18-35 years old who experienced EPL. control comprised healthy pregnant women gave birth at ≥37 weeks.

Results:

EPL had significantly lower plateletcrit (p=0.04), platelet distribution width (PDW, p<0.0001), RDW (p<0.0001) higher monocyte SIRI values than group. hemoglobin, white blood cells, count, neutrophil lymphocyte mean volume, to ratio (NLR), (PLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte (MLR), SII not different groups (p>0.05). cut-off for that offers best sensitivity/specificity balance was 1.48 (sensitivity 63%; specificity 63%) receiver operating characteristics curve. Among parameters predicting EPL, PDW highest (84%), sensitivity (80%).

Conclusion:

This study provides compelling evidence various pathways may contribute pathogenesis. Moreover, our findings suggest could be a more effective marker NLR, PLR, MLR, an ongoing pregnancy, thereby potentially revolutionizing loss diagnostics.

Studying models of healthy aging and exceptional longevity is crucial to understanding a possible signature, as most show resistance age-related diseases. In particular, semi- supercentenarians are highly selected group, having survived significant adversities, including the Spanish flu COVID-19 pandemics, indicating distinctive immune system characteristics. This paper analyzes inflammatory scores (INFLA-score, Systemic Inflammation Response Index (SIRI)) Aging-Related Immune Phenotype (ARIP) indicators calculated from dataset DESIGN project, 249 participants aged 19–111 years, aiming understand immune-inflammatory (IMFLAM) role in achieving longevity. Statistical analyses, linear regression one-way ANOVA, were performed explore correlations between these parameters age. Both INFLA-score SIRI showed increase with However, no statistical differences found when comparing values other age groups, which similar adults lower than younger centenarians. Regarding ARIP values, it noteworthy that CD8+ Naïve/Effector observed supercentenarian group groups. These results support idea control IMFLAM response can promote extreme

ABSTRACT Problem This study aimed to evaluate the predictive value of delta neutrophil index (DNI), a peripheral blood parameter, on perinatal outcomes in pregnant women with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Method Study One hundred eighty‐one participants, 78 SLE, and 103 healthy were included this retrospective study. Peripheral parameters including neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet‐to‐lymphocyte (PLR), DNI taken first trimester compared between groups. Results NLR, PLR, significantly higher SLE group ( p = 0.027, 0.007, 0.0001, respectively). The same not found be significant determining disease activity > 0.05). When for SGA pregnancies was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC), area under ROC (AUC) 0.666 (95% CI; 0.544–0.788, 0.018) 84.6% sensitivity, 53.8% specificity, 56.0% PPV, 78.1% NPV at cut‐off 0.16. according stillbirth AUC 0.731 CI: 0.539–0.923, 0.019) 0.17, sensitivity 90%, specificity 51.5%, PPV 58.5%, 87.2%. Conclusions Although DNI's prediction is encouraging, it needs more evidence from prospective studies larger series.
