In the final mining phase of working face, a large area suspended roof can lead to stress concentration from mining-induced stress, which in turn causes deformation and instability main roadway. This study takes Ji-17-21080 face Pingdingshan No. 2 Mine as engineering background, analyzing structural characteristics layer distribution advanced support while revealing principle cutting pressure relief for protecting Further, FLAC 3D numerical model was established based on on-site geological conditions. The surrounding rock roadway were compared under four scenarios: (1) stop-mining coal pillar width 120 m (no line), (2) 60 (3) with one line, (4) two lines. simulation results indicate that reducing significantly increases effects roof. However, implementation measures effectively interrupts transmission path support, improving environment. Furthermore, single synergistic effect lines is more beneficial. Finally, designed deep-hole blasting at face. Field monitoring showed air return downhill remained within controllable limits, ensuring safe operation next area.
