Abstract The slope of open-pit mines is typically characterized by an interaction structure involving multiple weak layers, with these structural characteristics serving as key factors in determining rock stability. Under the influence random such engineering activities and geological structures, layers intact undergo relative changes. This leads to a more pronounced spatial variability geotechnical parameters that inherently exist. Consequently, twenty generalized models slope, each different were established varying angle, layer dip, height. Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) method was employed efficiently generate fields. Utilizing mathematics software FLAC3D, fields assigned numerical model via independent program. variations statistical both deformation safety factor obtained through strength reduction method. results indicate that, for bedding anti-dip slopes stochastic parameters, increase angle decrease factor, albeit degrees. Additionally height slope. Reducing effective than decreasing improving As increases, mean decreases, while increases. stability significantly greater dip has effect on slope; failure mode shifts from slip along slip-toppling failure. In contrast, potential surface manifests arc shape intersects layers. sensitivity follows order most least significant.
