AbstarctIonizing radiation from natural and many synthetic sources is a remarkable tool in scientific, production, quality control, food preservation, medical, security, other technological processes. The need to protect humans (public personnel), gadgets, the environment, animals harmful effects of radiation, while maintaining expanding scope application has made protection an important topic discuss. Among methods materials available for shielding use glass shields are most effective attractive materials, respectively. In this report, basic parameters measuring competences, their shortcomings, discussed. Five categories glasses, namely, borate, germanate, silicate, phosphate, tellurites, with attributes, reviewed. role chemical composition, density, mean atomic number as gamma delineating factors was emphasized. weaknesses comparable advantages each system were presented well. review concludes by looking at trend future shileds research technology. data analysis provides scientists technologist on impact certain oxides efficacies different systems.
