Conservation

Abstract
We
estimate
the
effects
of
result‐based
agri‐environmental
payments
on
biodiversity
using
a
unique
dataset
containing
information
about
plant
vegetation.
The
data
include
surveyed
species
for
large
number
randomly
selected
plots
followed
over
period
20
years
in
Switzerland.
In
our
estimation,
we
utilize
difference‐in‐discontinuities
approach
based
exogenous
variation
triggered
by
(i)
policy
reform
Switzerland
that

to
considerable
increase

uncertain

implementation
and
(ii)
an
administrative
threshold

eligibility
payment

ABSTRACT
Gender
dynamics
in
agricultural
sustainability,
particularly
within
the
framework
of
Agri‐Environmental‐Climate‐Schemes
(AECS),
play
a
critical
role
advancing
green
entrepreneurship.
This
study
explores
gender‐based
differences
adoption
and
intensity
AECS
practices
among
Hungarian
farms,
emphasising
implications
for
gender
equality
sustainable
development.
Utilising
Farm
Accountancy
Data
Network
panel
data
from
2014
to
2021,
we
apply
Blinder‐Oaxaca
Recentered
Influence
Function
decomposition
models
dissect
disparities
engagement
between
male‐
female‐headed
farms.
Findings
indicate
that,
while
male‐headed
farms
receive
greater
subsidies
due
larger
economic
scales
resource
availability,
demonstrate
comparable
levels
when
controlled
these
factors.
These
insights
highlight
potential
gender‐sensitive
policies
European
Union's
Common
Agricultural
Policy
empower
female
farmers
entrepreneurship

Abstract
Policymakers
worldwide

ambitious
targets

increase
the
share
of
organic
farming.
We
conduct
a
global,
systematic
literature
review
synthesise
evidence
on
adoption
farming
and
support
policymakers
food-value
chain
actors
in
reaching
policy
goals.
First,
we
map
existing
research
identify
substantial
gaps
regarding
focus,
methodology
geographical
coverage.
Second,
using
conceptual
framework
farmers’
process,
provide
an
overview
evidence-based
recommendations

adoption.
Finally,
regression
analysis,

that
