The objective of the present study is to fabricate an effective metal organic framework -nanoparticles (MOF-NPs) based photocatalyst and antibacterial agent using single step precipitation method. facile green approach aqueous solvent for synthesis copper-based metal-organic oxalate ion as a linker presented. MOF-NPs obtained from copper-oxalate in distilled water represented (COD). Additionally, same was synthesized methanol, which (COM) comparison. structural, morphological optical properties prepared were investigated X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV–visible analysis. COD falls range 40–60 nm while COM ranges between 7 8 correspondingly band gap 3.35 3.37 eV helped samples perform efficiently UV region. results exhibited favorable photocatalytic efficiency 88.45 89.23 % removal methylene blue (dye concentration = 10 ppm; time 120 min; dosage 10, 20, 30 mg irradiation source light) good bacterial inhibition against gram-positive gram-negative bacteria. performance as-prepared showed potential environmental remediation.
