The rapid spread of micromobility vehicles such as bicycles and electric scooters poses new challenges to urban transportation systems, particularly in terms road safety infrastructure integration. This study investigates the driving behavior users at a mini-roundabout, focusing on their speed profiles position within lane during entry, circulation, exit phases. A structured recruitment process was used select 20 participants with previous experience. Participants performed crossing maneuvers mini-roundabout Gravina di Catania, Italy, which were monitored using drone footage analyzed tracking software extract trajectories data. results show significant differences between e-scooter bicycle users, showing less variability, especially phases, while e-scooters showed greater entry highlight influence vehicle stability user posture riding emphasize need for adaptations increase safety. Mini-roundabouts designed moderate are identified promising solution improve coexistence motor vehicles. research identifies key behavioral patterns offering actionable insights recommendations safer more efficient infrastructure. These contributions provide valuable guidance planners policymakers promoting sustainable mobility.

Less experienced e-scooter riders often exhibit risky riding behaviours. Despite this, no studies have examined how calibrate risk, respond to hazardous situations, and the impact of experience on these skills. To address this study assessed hazard prediction risk calibration in via bespoke video-based tests featuring real footage filmed from rider's perspective. The first experiment ability predict scenarios. second evaluated their proneness engage situations. results indicated that increased did not improve riders' skills or reduced riding. In fact, a higher frequency was linked an tendency behaviour certain highlight typically short duration trips may limit exposure variety hazards, hindering develop effective observed high propensity scenarios, combined with average scores, emphasizes need for targeted rider training focused vigilance awareness.
