Arable soils irrigated with wastewater (SIWs) cause ecological and human health issues due to the presence of heavy metals (HMs). Burning rice stubble (RS) poses severe environmental hazards. Converting RS into compost (RSC) biochar (RSB) can overcome these issues. Here, we considered role RS, RSC, RSB as individual soil amendments combined each them arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi (AMF) observe their effectiveness for HM immobilization in SIW, uptake pea plants, improvements physicochemical properties soil. The results revealed that adding AMF reduced bioavailable concentrations Pb, Cd, Ni, Cu, Co, Zn SIW by 35%, 50%, 43%, 52%, 22%, respectively. Moreover, RSB+AMF treatment also grain 93%, 76%, 83%, 72%, 71%, 57%, respectively, compared control. Abstract Household kitchen waste (HKW) is produced in large quantity and its management difficult due to high moisture content complex organic matter. Aerobic composting of HKW an easy, efficient, cost-effective eco-friendly method. This study designed achieve a zero-waste concept convert HKW. We optimized the type size three different bulking agents speed up process. The tested were fallen leaves, sawdust fly ash. results showed higher longer thermophilic phase (55 o C) for 11 days C2. Rice husk biochar (RHB) is a low-cost and renewable resource that has been found to be highly effective for the remediation of water soil environments. Its yield, structure, composition, physicochemical properties can modified by changing parameters preparation process, such as heating rate, pyrolysis temperature, carrier gas flow rate. Additionally, its specific surface area functional groups through physical, chemical, biological means. Compared from other feedstocks, RHB performs poorly in solutions with coexisting metal, but improved adsorption. In contaminated soils, adsorbing heavy metals organic matter, well reducing pollutant availability enhancing crop growth regulating releasing beneficial elements. However, effectiveness complex environments remains uncertain, further research needed fully understand mechanisms environmental remediation.
