Abstract GPS technology and tracking study designs have gained popularity as a tool to go beyond the limitations of static exposure assessments based on subject's residence. These dynamic assessment methods offer high potential upside in terms accuracy but also disadvantages cost, sample sizes, types data generated. Because that, with our we aim understand which cases researchers need use GPS-based guarantee necessary assessment. With 113 seniors living Barcelona (Spain) compare their estimated daily exposures air pollution (PM2.5, PM10, NO2), noise (dB), greenness (NDVI) using techniques. Results indicate that significant differences between are only present selected exposures, would thus suggest place residence provide accurate-enough values across number case seniors. Our models for Barcelona’s be required smaller particulate matter (PM2.5) levels. The signals consider both mobility patterns built environment context when deciding or measures

As urban populations age, creating cities that cater to the needs of elderly residents becomes increasingly vital. This paper addresses imperative develop environments supporting well-being against a backdrop changing demographics. With proportion individuals steadily rising, demand for age-inclusive design is more pressing than ever. The research question driving this study is: How can sustainable retrofit strategies contribute design, considering physiological and psychological characteristics elderly? Begins with examining theoretical foundations practices, shedding light on their significance common objectives. Shortcomings in current practices are scrutinized, highlighting gaps need addressing. Integrating elderly, along distinct outdoor environments, review contributes nuanced understanding age-specific requirements. A bespoke strategy conceptualized, rooted principles design. Finally, acknowledging challenges faced achieving spaces provides forward-looking recommendations.
