BACKGROUND The unprecedented emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated development and global distribution vaccines, making understanding vaccine acceptance hesitancy crucial to overcoming barriers vaccination achieving widespread immunization. OBJECTIVE This umbrella review synthesizes findings from systematic reviews meta-analyses provide insights into perceptions on across diverse populations regions. METHODS We conducted a literature search major databases identify meta-analysis that reported hesitancy. AMSTAR-2 (A Measurement Tool Assess Systematic Reviews) criteria were used assess methodological quality included reviews. Meta-analysis was performed using STATA 17 with random effect model. data synthesis is presented in table format via narrative. RESULTS Our inclusion met by 78 published between 2021 2023. analysis revealed moderate rate 63% (95% CI 0.60%-0.67%) general population, significant heterogeneity (<i>I</i>2 = 97.59%). Higher rates observed among health care workers individuals chronic diseases, at 64% 0.57%-0.71%) 69% 0.61%-0.76%), respectively. To investigate the association between nativity and COVID-19 vaccine acceptance its interaction with race/ethnicity, education, English proficiency. Differences in among propensity-score matched foreign- US-born persons using 2021 California Health Interview Survey Data were measured a survey-weighted multivariable logistic regression model terms average predicted probabilities and: A total of 4,234,655 (8504 unweighted) met inclusion criteria; 2251,279 (53 %) foreign-born (1,983,376 US-born), 55 % all Hispanic/Latino, 22 Non-Hispanic White, 17 Asian/Pacific Islander, 3.6 Black/African American, 2.5 categorized as 'Other'. Foreign-born status was significantly associated greater odds (adjusted ratio [aOR], 2.81 [95 %CI, 1.16-6.83]). Hispanic had probability compared to their counterparts (average difference, +0.11 +0.023, +0.20]). poor proficiency lower versus (APD, -0.081, -0.43, 0.27]). Nativity acceptance, this relationship varied by race/ethnicity These findings may be used direct future interventions aimed at improving vaccination rates.

We determined the prevalence factors associated with intention accept vaccine IDPs in Northeast Nigeria. This cross-sectional study, conducted during July-December 2022, included 1,537 unvaccinated from 18 camps. performed a complex sample survey analysis described participants' characteristics weighted descriptive statistics. fitted logistic regression models computed adjusted odds ratios 95% confidence intervals identify vaccine. Of IDPs, 55.4% were 18-39 years old, 82.6% females, 88.6% had no formal education. Among them, 63.5% (95% CI: 59.0-68.1) expressed who intended reject vaccine, 42.8% provided reason, 35.3% misconceptions, 9.5% reported safety concerns, 7.4% felt need. perceived as (Adjusted Odds Ratio (AOR) = 2.31, [95% 1.35-3.96]), effective (AOR 4.28, 2.46-7.44]) resided official camps 3.29, 1.94-5.56]) more likely However, 2 kilometers or farther nearest health facility 0.34, 0.20-0.58]) less Intention was suboptimal.
