Research into expatriation has made a great contribution to the understanding of issues surrounding international human resource management. However, academic discussion around subject expatriate management remains Western-centred, neglecting use staffing in multinational corporations (MNCs) from Eastern countries. By adopting multi-foci perspective psychological contract, overall objective this research is explore content Chinese expatriates' contracts.This paper draws on findings an organisational case study and based semi-structured interviews with 14 expatriates.The provide evidence that individuals have multiple simultaneous contracts, each different focus. The contracts held by expatriates sample contain predominately balanced contract beliefs, which contrast sharply what other authors find be salient beliefs (e.g., transactional beliefs) for Western samples. Importantly, most frequently listed exchange partners pre-departure were line managers department headquarters; appreciate respective role party shaping their aspects work conditions whilst acknowledging existence such influences.This implications following ways. First, are encouraged parties contracts. This helps enhance management's motives demands those expatriates. Second, policies support contact would aid feelings integration. Finally, more attention should paid planning career prospects.

A psychological contract is a set of individual beliefs that person has about the reciprocal obligations and benefits established in an exchange relationship, such as employment relationship organizational setting. breach subjective experience referred to perception one parties other failed adequately fulfill its promises. Using SPIDER tool, our focuses on: (a) Sample; (b) Phenomenon Interest; (c) Design; (d) Evaluation; (e) Research type. Finally, only eight meta-analyses met inclusion criteria. This study provides a comprehensive review of the intellectual structure and current dynamics onboarding socialization research. Using Web Science (WoS) database, we found 452 research articles that met inclusion criteria. Biblioshiny R-package VOSviewer were used for bibliometric analysis. We lay out most prolific authors, journals, institutions in this rapidly growing field. find is scattered all over different topics disciplines. identify five fronts authors have pursued last 5 years. Researchers focused on: psychological contracts; role networks relationship building; changing work contexts which organizational takes place; effects newcomer proactivity interactions with supervisors; distinct areas like software engineering. Promising avenues field can be distinguished in: groups newcomers; examining interactive between newcomers agents; analyzing evolving area digital virtual socialization.

Purpose Workplace bullying is a serious problem among nurses, which results in negative workplace behavior. Therefore, this study aims to understand how affects employees’ knowledge hiding Specifically, explored psychological contract breach as an underlying mechanism between and hiding; learning goal orientation boundary condition hiding. Feeling stuck and feeling bad: Career plateaus, negative emotions, and counterproductive work behaviors DOI Creative Commons

Abstract Career plateauing has been described as a subjective state that is emotionally unpleasant and associated with unethical work behaviors, yet there little theoretical explanation or robust evidence to support such claims. This study contributes framework for the relationships between career plateauing, emotions, counterproductive behaviors (CWB). Building on stressor‐emotion model of CWB, we propose employees who perceive themselves experiencing plateau are likely commit CWB when they experience negative emotions. We also predict strength this process depends individuals' emotion regulation ability. Through regression analysis data from 193 UK‐based across three time points, our finds both hierarchical job content emotions indirectly related via emotions; neither type directly CWB. Additionally, lower ability strengthens relationship leading more offers novel how affects employees' deviant behaviors.
